WIRC serves as an innovative chat application that integrates WebRTC and IRC technologies, enabling users to connect seamlessly with available IRC chat servers or those configured by the user.
One standout feature is the ability to invite contacts for voice calls directly within the chat interface. Once an invitation is sent, the recipient can easily initiate the call by tapping the call button, leading to a prompt activation of the call screen in the application.
WIRC also addresses user concerns about disruptive interactions. A complaint button allows users to report any bothersome individuals to channel operators, who are then responsible for issuing appropriate warnings. Additionally, users have the option to block unwanted contacts, effectively preventing future messages.
Currently, WIRC only supports voice calling; however, plans for incorporating video call functionality are set for future updates. It is important to note that both participants must be using the WIRC client applications for the call option to be available.
